As CEO, Michael Carabetta oversees all facets of Oblicore’s operations, including finance, sales, corporate and business development, marketing, professional services, and engineering as well as investor relations. Carabetta most recently held the position of president and chief executive officer for ManageSoft, a leading international provider of software management and compliance solutions. Prior to joining ManageSoft, Carabetta was CEO at PS’SOFT USA, a global provider of IT asset and service lifecycle management solutions. As the former president and COO of Novadigm, Carabetta successfully transformed the company into a profitable, high growth software enterprise. Carabetta has also held senior management positions at Amdahl Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). Carabetta holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Quinnipiac University and a master’s of science degree in accounting from Bentley College. He is also a graduate of the Digital/Insead International Management Program in Insead, France.
David O'Connor CFO
David O’Connor is the CFO of Oblicore. O’Connor brings 16 years of financial and operating experience having held positions as CFO and VP of Corporate Development in both public and private technology companies.
Most recently, O’Connor served as the CFO of Surebridge, a venture capital backed application outsourcing company. Surebridge raised $46M of equity during his tenure and grew from $17M of revenue in 2000 to a $50M profitable company in 2004. The business was successfully sold to Navisite in 2004. Previously, O’Connor was the CFO of Beansprout Networks and BBG New Media (sold to the public company Think New Ideas). He also served as the VP of Corporate Development at Think New Ideas, where he executed four acquisitions and led the transaction involving the sale of the company to Answer Think Consulting Group for $230M. O’Connor has executed nine buy side transactions and has successfully sold three companies. He began his career in the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Ernst and Young. O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
Bill Jones VP of Americas Sales
As a 20-year sales veteran in information technology including enterprise software, network management, security management, managed application and data center services, Jones is responsible for Oblicore’s sales operations for the Americas.
Before joining Oblicore, Jones was director of North American sales at GeoTrust, managing all outside and inside sales efforts through an explosive phase with 83 percent growth year over year prior to being acquired by VeriSign. Jones's experience also included regional vice president of sales at the application service provider Surebridge, Inc., where he helped to build the sales organization over four years of growth through the sale of the company to NaviSite, Inc. He then continued on with responsibility as regional vice president of sales at NaviSite, with responsibility for the integration of sales efforts for multiple lines of businesses, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Oracle, JDE, Siebel and PeopleSoft applications, and for the growth of each business line to record levels within the company. Jones also has extensive sales management experience while at Seagate Software, Prism Solutions, KnowledgeWare and ADR/Computer Associates. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Boston College.
Jim Cavallo VP, Professional Services
Jim Cavallo oversees a team of consultants responsible for the implementation, training and ongoing support of Oblicore’s enterprise Service Level Management solutions.
Jim Cavallo manages Oblicore's leading edge team of consultants. His team is Oblicore's enterprise Service Level Management solutions enterprise provisioning solutions. He applies rapid business impact methodologies to ensure customers receive measurable and continuous value throughout the entire lifecycle of their product deployment. Cavallo most recently served as the vice president of professional services at ManageSoft, a global software management and compliance solutions provider. While at the company, Cavallo assembled and managed a team of more than 40 consultants and engineers and developed strategic partnerships with some of the world's largest service providers. Prior to ManageSoft, Cavallo served as regional vice president of professional services at Genuity, a web hosting and managed service provider. He has also held previous management positions at Real World Consulting and Just In Time Consulting. Cavallo holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Noga Perry VP, Enigeering
As the vice president of engineering, Noga Perry manages all aspects of product development and delivery including research & development, quality assurance and release delivery.
With over 20 years of experience, Perry has held various software development management positions for leading international companies in the enterprise software, cellular application and services markets. Prior to Oblicore, she was the managing director and executive vice president of R&D and product delivery at SunGard Israel. In this role, Perry was responsible for a team of 140 people located in Israel, the U.S. and India. Previously, she worked for eight years at Comverse, where she was senior director and managed several R&D groups in Israel. Perry began her career at Tekem software, the precursor to Ness Technologies. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
Mark Verstockt VP, International Sales
Mark Verstockt has 15 years of experience in software sales and executive management. Prior to joining Oblicore, Verstockt served as the CEO for an Information Technology Center acquired by Acunia NV in May 2000.
As CEO he was responsible for sales, marketing, business development and alliances. Under Verstockt’s leadership, the company realized record revenues, profitability and growth. Prior to ITC, Verstockt was part of the management team at Object Design Europe during its IPO in 1996. Object Design was an industry pioneer in the object database market. Verstockt also held General and Sales Management positions at Compuware, a leading supplier in the client/sever and software solutions market and at Digital Equipment. Verstockt has a B.Sc. in industrial and operations engineering from Kardinal Mercier of Brussels.
