Oblicore Expands Management Team – Names Kevin T. Carr Vice President of Sales for the Americas

COLUMBIA, Md. October 17, 2005 - Oblicore, Inc., a leading provider of service level and business service management software, today announced the appointment of Kevin T. Carr as vice president of Americas Sales. Carr brings over 15 years of demonstrated success in software sales and management to Oblicore. During the most recent quarter, under his leadership, Oblicore’s Americas’ sales team achieved record results.

Before joining Oblicore in May of this year, Carr was vice president of sales for Candle Corporation, which was acquired by IBM in October 2004. At Candle, Carr led a 125-member sales organization that generated record revenue growth for eight straight years. Prior to Candle, Carr was an account executive with Computer Associates and Beacon Software.
