Former nationwide CIO joins Oblicore board of advisors
Kelly Cannon, Seasoned CIO Veteran, to Offer Keen Insights into Enterprise Service Level Management and ITIL-based Technology Requirements
COLUMBIA, Md. April 18, 2005 - Oblicore, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise applications to manage, monitor and report on service level agreements (SLAs) and outsourcing contracts, today announced that Kelly Cannon, former Chief Information Officer for Corporate Infrastructure at Nationwide Insurance, has accepted Oblicore’s invitation to join its Board of Advisors. Mr. Cannon’s 25+ years of experience in Information Technology will provide Oblicore with keen insights into the growing needs of enterprise customers for service level management (SLM) solutions based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards.
At Nationwide, Mr. Cannon was responsible for operational leadership and strategic direction of enterprise IT infrastructure. In this role, Mr. Cannon’s team won the ITIL Project of the Year award from Pink Elephant for 2002. Prior to Nationwide, Kelly was Chief Information Officer at Wausau Insurance, where he was responsible for building and leading the company’s technology strategy. Kelly also held a number of executive roles at Hewlett-Packard, including leadership of global financial accounting systems and management of semiconductor manufacturing systems.
“Kelly brings a wealth of experience to Oblicore,” said Yuval Boger, CEO of Oblicore. “His knowledge of ITIL best practices coupled with decades of experience in senior IT executive positions at large enterprises is invaluable to Oblicore. We are delighted to have him on our Board of Advisors.”
“Oblicore solves an important business need. With Oblicore, enterprises finally have the infrastructure necessary to monitor and manage service level performance from both a business and a technical perspective. That’s an important element that is lacking in most enterprises today, said Mr. Cannon. “I am privileged to be invited to join Oblicore’s Board of Advisors and am looking forward to working with Yuval and his team towards contributing to the company’s future success.”
Retired from Nationwide in 2004, Mr. Cannon is currently a co-founder of BlueWave Partners, an IT strategy consulting firm focusing on technology triage. Mr. Cannon has a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.
