Q2 Milestones Punctuate Oblicore's Continued Success in the Service Level Management Market
New Customers, Products and Executive Hires Complement Record Revenue to Highlight Quarter's Accomplishments
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - August 9, 2006 - Oblicore, a leading provider of Service Level Management software and best practices, today announced a series of accomplishments in the second calendar quarter of this year that paint a picture of a company increasing momentum and well-positioned for future growth.
Quantifying the quarter's success were record bookings with a 135% increase over bookings for the same quarter in 2005. Oblicore signed 10 new customers during the quarter including ABN AMRO, mobilkom Austria, Mobiltel, Si.mobil, Vipnet, mobilkom liechtenstein and Siemens Medical Solutions. In addition, Oblicore marked its first deal in Asia Pacific. The company also closed additional license deals with existing customers and additional service transactions.
In the second quarter, Oblicore announced the addition of industry veterans Jonathan McKay as chairman and interim CEO and Bernd Leger as vice president of marketing.
The quarter also saw an update to Oblicore's flagship product, Oblicore Guarantee, and the introduction of a new product, Oblicore Contract Center. Oblicore Guarantee 3.5 provides large enterprises and service providers with greater capabilities for large-scale deployments, while lowering total cost of ownership. Oblicore Contract Center addresses the large portion of the enterprise IT services market that is still in the early stages of adopting ITIL-based service delivery processes. These enterprises can deploy Contract Center in five days to begin gaining greater visibility and control over their IT-enabled services while safeguarding their investment with a clear upgrade path to a full Service Level Management solution as their needs evolve.
In April, Oblicore announced that through its work with leading service providers including BT, Cable & Wireless and T-Systems, its Oblicore Guarantee product had successfully reduced the cost and effort of managing over $10 billion in outsourcing contracts. In fact, Oblicore counts as customers four of the world's ten largest telecommunications companies.
The company closed the quarter on a high note, hosting a Webinar with partner Pink Elephant entitled, "Smarter, Faster, Better - ITIL-Based Service Level Management for IT Practitioners." More than 400 IT managers registered for the event to receive useful tips, tools and advice for successfully adopting ITIL best practices.
