Oblicore Participates in Service Management Ecosystem; Announces Validated Product Integration
Oblicore Works with IBM to Extend its Solution with IBM Tivoli CCMDB
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 20, 2007 Oblicore, a leading provider of Service Level Management software, today announced it has integrated its software with the IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB). Oblicore has also received the “Ready for IBM Tivoli software” technical validation mark and has been listed in the Open Process Automation Library (OPAL), IBM’s online catalog of more than 500 IBM Tivoli and Business Partners Product Extensions. Through a rigorous validation process, IBM validated Oblicore Guarantee’s integration of its industry leading Service Level Management capabilities with its IBM Tivoli CCMDB.
Through this validated integration, Oblicore Guarantee enriches CCMDB resources by enabling Oblicore Guarantee to update CCMDB activities, organizations, business services and business processes with information gathered in Oblicore Guarantee resource data elements. As a result, the CCMDB is able to more rapidly adapt to changes that result from service delivery adjustments and customers will reduce the amount of rework necessary to implement both systems.
“Our global 1200 customers are managing increasingly complex infrastructures, and they are looking for seamless integration with their infrastructure and services,” said Bernd Leger, vice president of marketing, Oblicore. “We’ve leveraged Oblicore’s standardized APIs combined with IBM Tivoli’s open platform to address this need. Our relationship with IBM to integrate with IBM Tivoli CCMDB, extends our offering to our customers by allowing a real-time, holistic and granular view into the health and performance of their infrastructures.”
"We are pleased to be working with partners such as Oblicore to bring much needed Service Level Management capabilities to customers,” said Catherine Pleil, Program Director of IBM Service Management Partner Ecosystem IBM. "Oblicore Guarantee now enables customers to map their resource information to IBM Tivoli configurations and change histories to assist in service level management providing organizations with a faster path to guaranteed service delivery.”
Oblicore Guarantee helps align delivery systems with corporate business objectives and serves as the service level data aggregation, correlation and reporting layer. Oblicore Guarantee optimizes the ability to capture contractual obligations, defines how performance targets will be measured, monitors service performance against these targets in real-time, takes proactive action based on visibility into this performance, and automates performance reporting between the service provider and the service consumer. The result is a dramatic improvement in service delivery which simultaneously improves both productivity and customer satisfaction.
